Company Statement

11th May, 2020

Firstly thank you to all our customers for your continued support through these challenging times, it is more important than ever that we stick together and we want you all to know we are here to help.

As we move into the 8th week of lock-down, I couldn’t be more proud of the team here at Meadow Vale Foods.

We rallied to get set up to work from home in March, with just a small core team in the office.  Those working remotely grasped the challenge with dedication, energy and an even stronger sense of team work.

Whilst, we’re all keen to get back in to the office, we will be managing that next phase very carefully, adhering to government guidance.  The health and safety of our team, their families and the community are paramount. We’re implementing detailed plans, including new layouts in the office so we are ready when the time comes to get the team back together.

In the meantime, I’m pleased to confirm our stock position is good, we are continuing to work with our customers to deliver our Day 1 for Day 3 service level.

As we start to look ahead, there are many views regarding the ‘new normal’.  Whether from a supply or demand perspective, we are working on plans to ensure we are ready and able to adapt quickly to support the food service industry through the challenging times and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.

As well as focusing on adapting our business to these changes, it’s important we don’t forget the wider community. With this in mind we have been supporting a number of local charities, most recently we donated to a food drop at Open Haven Church in West Bromwich, to support the most vulnerable.

Thank you for your ongoing support and business.
