Managing Director Nigel O’Donnell speaks to QuickBite Magazine

In the food-to-go and QSR markets, small plates and side orders are becoming important components of any menu. QuickBite Magazine spoke to Meadow Vale Foods to see how offering the right products at the right price can tempt customers to spend that little bit extra.

Starters, small plates and sides are becoming increasingly popular in the food-to-go/QSR industry as consumers gravitate towards more affordable options, allowing them to experiment with new flavours and enhance their dining experience.

As part of the October feature, our Managing Director Nigel O’Donnell was included as an industry voice, offering his advice on the latest trends surrounding small plates and side order dishes.

He said: “Small plates and side orders originally offered a vegetable based alternative or accompaniment to the main meal, yet nowadays side orders can be seen to take centre stage, exploring the tastes main meals often refrain from.”
