Meadow Vale Foods Becomes a Member of the RSPO
Published on 15th July 2026
We are pleased to announce that Meadow Vale Foods has become a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), a globally recognised organisation that promotes the production and use of sustainable palm oil.
This is an important milestone in our sustainability journey and demonstrates our commitment to responsible sourcing and environmental stewardship.
What is the RSPO?
The RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) is a not-for-profit organisation that brings together growers, manufacturers, retailers, environmental organisations, and other stakeholders to improve the sustainability of palm oil production worldwide.
Palm oil is one of the world's most widely used vegetable oils and is found in many food and consumer products. While it is an efficient crop, unsustainable production can contribute to deforestation, habitat loss, and social challenges. The RSPO works to address these issues through a globally recognised certification and standards system.
Why is RSPO Membership Important?
By becoming an RSPO member, Meadow Vale Foods is joining a global network of organisations committed to making sustainable palm oil the norm.
Our membership demonstrates our commitment to responsible and sustainable sourcing, supports efforts to reduce deforestation and protect biodiversity, and promotes ethical and transparent supply chains. It also helps us align with growing customer and consumer expectations around sustainability, strengthens our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) credentials, and enables us to collaborate with industry partners to drive positive change across the sector.

Sustainability in Action
Becoming an RSPO member is just one part of Meadow Vale Foods' wider commitment to sustainability and reducing our environmental impact.
Across our business, we continue to identify opportunities to operate more responsibly, from the partners we work with on manufacturing and logistics to the day-to-day running of our offices. Recent initiatives include moving our Goodness Me! range to fully recyclable packaging, reducing waste to landfill by approximately 9 tonnes each year, and introducing smaller bag sizes across a number of core ranges to further reduce plastic usage.
Our core range of products is already RSPO certified, and we will continue to expand this certification across additional ranges as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability.
We have also invested in renewable energy through the installation of solar panels at our head office, which help power our operations and support the charging of our growing fleet of electric and hybrid company vehicles.
Reducing waste remains a key focus for our business. In addition to promoting frozen food solutions that help customers minimise food waste, Meadow Vale Foods has not sent any food waste to landfill for more than 10 years.
Alongside our environmental initiatives, we continue to support local communities through regular food donations to charitable organisations.
